Eldorado is a great family neighborhood that allows a transition from city life to country living. It started as a planned community in the 1970’s that was built on a gently rolling terrain. Today there are now over 2800 home sites on spacious lots. The homes themselves are generous in the layout and footage available to the homeowner as well as the variety of pleasing home styles. The community of Eldorado is perfect for young and old alike.
The community is home to active retirees young families, and everyone else. Eldorado is mostly a homogenous community in that many of the homes are similar, but each has their own unique aspects that sets them apart. You can also enjoy the hiking and biking trails available in the area if you want to do some exploring in the wilderness.

If you need a few things for the home, there is a full grocery store nearby at the central shopping district. Here you can also find a bank, several health-care practices, movie rentals, and a place to enjoy some coffee with friends. If food and fun is what you're looking for, there are delightful restaurants available as well as a multi-screen movie theater.
If you can't find what you're looking for at the central shopping center, maybe you can find it at the plaza in Santa Fe. The plaza is approximately 20 minutes away and is well known by the residences of Eldorado as a market and meeting place in the center of Santa Fe. Most people and business use the plaza as a point of reference when giving directions.
There is a vibrant arts community in Eldorado which always hosts annual arts and crafts fairs in the spring and fall. It's the perfect place to express your inner artistic nature!
